Legends of the Hidden Temple

Characters: Chiaki Nanami, Jack Harkness, Tsubomi Hanasaki, and Cloud Strife
Where: The Temple of the Heroes of Light

Summary: Four intrepid Onion Knights open the temple in search of its secrets
Warnings: Anything could happen!

[It feels like ages since Chiaki proposed this trip in the first place, and to some degree she's still recovering from what happened last month, but there's no way she's going to let that deter her from the mission. She's got three companions who still trust her, a maxed out Onion Knight job equipped, and she's ready to discover the secrets this temple has to offer. The excitement is even apparent on her face and in her mannerisms, to those who know how to read her somewhat subtle expressions - she's having a hard time keeping still, and there's a glint in her eye that's only seen when she's truly absorbed in something she enjoys, like video games or Triple Triad.]

All right. Here we are. The entrance will only open for four maxed out Onion Knights like us. All we should need to do is stand over there, and the entrance will open.

[She points to a partially destroyed area in front of the temple proper, with a relief depicting what are likely the original four Heroes of Light. It's written in Ancient, but previous expeditions have confirmed that what Chiaki has just said is true. She walks over to take her place, waiting for the other three to follow.]

It goes without saying, but be careful in there. We don't know what kinds of guardians this place has, and it's sure to have them. This is Disc 3 stuff we're doing, after all.

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Preparations for a Fierce Battle

Who: Everyone
What: A meeting to discuss the plan of attack against Palitutu

[Anyone approaching the Observatory can smell the meeting long before they enter the building. Mordecai and Ellena worked hard the past several days cooking dishes for the Heroes and any guests they brought, resulting in a tiring contests of who could cook the most.

Dishes from Mars. Dishes from Ellana's world. Pastries. Any snack the two of them could find the recipe for. If there were some people that were unsure whether to come to the meeting or not, free food is the strongest argument.

The largest meeting room is prepared with tables and chairs for everyone to sit down, with sofas lining the sides. When everyone settles down and grabs a plate, Mordecai steps onto an area at the end of the room devoid of tables and chairs.]

Alright, alright. We got food in our stomachs, so it's about time we get this started.

Now, we all know why we're here. Palitutu's comin' in less than a month, and we still need to come up with a plan of attack. Seein' how big this team grew, there's gonna be a wide differences in opinions. Last thing we need is all of us disagreein' on what to do at the last minute.

We have plenty of reason to believe that she's not gonna listen to anythin' we say and kill us at the start, so we'll need to prepare our openin' move. There's plenty of ways to fight a WEAPON, but we gotta work together to do it in an efficient manner.

Battle on the Big Bridge...?

Who: Jack, Tazendra, Sheena, Lydia, Sparks, and anyone else they can convince to help them with a Regain Quest.
What: An epic battle to last the ages...sort of.

Reports of a brigand blocking the way to the Mythril Mines have sent a group of the Heroes on a quest to the Big Bridge that connects the Continent of Balance to the Lost Continent. Jack frowns as he looks down the expanse of the bridge. Perfect spot for an ambush of some kind. Odd, though, that the mission report on this only mentioned a brigand. Maybe all it takes is one guy to cut off traffic at a narrow point, though. Jack shoulders his custom spear, Ddraig Goch, and takes point onto the bridge.

Things Are Going To Get Real Sticky!

What: To obtain strength in fighting Palitutu and get new jobs, our Heroes of Light have been charged in finding and defeating the Jumbo Cactuar! But, are they getting in over their heads?!

What was Tsubomi thinking?! Oh, sure, find, defeat and recruit the powerful Jumbo Cactuar so she can get the Dark Knight Job. On one hand, it was to help everyone - she can use the Dark Knight's power to make herself stronger, the Crystal Knight Advanced Job to help Levy in forming defenses against Palitutu and the power of the Jumbo Cactuar against the power of the Omega WEAPON. But, this was probably gonna be one of the more tougher fights she's dealt with. Even with help.

She's opted for a Job combination of both Paladin and Cure Blossom, though she hates the idea of blowing her identity for this. Letting out a sigh, she turned to face the others that joined her. "I-Is everyone ready?"

Return to the Scene of the Crime

WHO: Lust, Captain Jack Harkness, Zack, Chiaki Nanami, Vincent Valentine
WHAT: Lust takes a small party to Aqures Tosf to see if she can't uncover any information about her origin in this world, and to see if there's any evidence of Kalki's body. Unfortunately, they don't find much. EXCEPT MONSTERS.
WHEN: April 17th
WHERE: Aqures Tosf
NOTES: Make as many threads as you like -- on the boat, searching around, fighting monsters, being disappointed at finding diddly squat... But anyone involved in the event will vanish from Aqures Tosf on the 20th, and won't need to worry about the return voyage.

Hidden Truth [Log]

What: A log for everyone to gain the information in the Hidden Truth video tape.
Where: The Observatory.

There had been a flurry of letters sent out from Jack and Chiaki, first to Zelda to ask to borrow the Observatory, and then to every Hero of Light, alerting them that they had uncovered some intelligence received in the Heran Empire before the Capital had fallen to Crystal, and that everyone needed to see it immediately.

Jack, Chiaki, and a few others brought in a screen connected to a machine that some would recognize as a VCR. "With our peace mission to the Imperial Capital over Christmas, we returned with a recording made on 20th-century Earth technology, the kind that doesn't have an analogue on Crystallis. It took us time to build a machine to be able to play it. This information comes from Kalki, recorded what appears to be years ago. We obtained it from the Imperial Spy, Jenni. As of right now, we still have no reason to believe that Kalki is alive. But this comes from her, and I apologize to everyone who might be upset by seeing her again."

With that, Jack plays the recording. He stands by the screen and repeats the words for everyone to hear, for those who cannot understand English. Since Kalki's first words are to explain why she is recording it this way, it makes sense why he has to do this. He keeps his own emotions in check throughout, until the explanation of the Bard song that everyone gets to hear. That seems to upset Jack.

Once the recording is over, Jack pauses. "We will need some help from any other English speakers to create a written transcript of the recording so that anyone can access this information at any time. The tape and player will remain here for any Heroes to review. We ask that you please be careful with the machine."

Finally, Jack sits down to let the room descend into the inevitable chaos.
